In the first seven months of 2019, employees of fishing companies based in Sevastopol managed to add about fifteen thousand eight hundred and forty tons of various types of fish with common efforts.
It is known that fishing was carried out in the waters of the Azov and Black Seas.
Based on the information shared with the public by representatives of the public relations department of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, from January 1 to August 1, 2019, Sevastopol fishermen put at least eight thousand one hundred fifty nine tons of hamsa on the market.
It is noteworthy that it is hamsa that accounts for half of the entire seven-month catch of fishermen from Sevastopol. As for sprats, in this case we are talking about a catch indicator of five thousand eight hundred and ninety tons. The volume of horse mackerel mined in seven months is one thousand eighty-two tons.
It will not be amiss to note that Sevastopol fishermen for many years have supplied the Crimean population with affordable fish and high-quality seafood.
Specialists control fishing so that only fish products that meet the food safety requirements of the republic in particular and Russia as a whole get on the market.
To date, forty-two Sevastopol enterprises are concentrated in fishing and fishing. The total number of employees involved in fishing exceeds one thousand people.
