The Ayrshire National Farmers Union (NFUS), in partnership with Barclays, one of the largest financial conglomerates in the UK and the world, will conduct a series of free workshops to grow the farming business in the county.
Within the framework of this program, a new topic will be considered every month, covering a number of issues, including additional opportunities for earning income on the farm, the safe use of agricultural machines, the safe use of online banking, and the monitoring of mental health in the workplace.
The first seminar entitled “How to attract the best employees and become a good employer” will be held from 10:45 to 14:00 on Wednesday, June 12. The event, which includes lunch, will be held in the classroom at the JF Niven, Auchincruive building.
This lesson will examine how businesses can create a positive employer reputation, hire the right people, retain staff, and create a motivated team. Examples of successful employers will also be considered.
In anticipation of the event, NFUS regional manager Christina Cuthbertson said: “Eishira has several superfamily farming enterprises, and in an ever-changing world it is important that we support farming families in managing their businesses and exploring new opportunities.
This free seminar program will offer something interesting for everyone. We are grateful to Barclays for their support in organizing and conducting. I would advise people to take a look at the program and declare their interests. ”
A spokesperson for Barclays said: “Barclays has supported the agricultural sector since 1744, helping farmers grow their businesses and thrive, even in difficult times. The challenges and changes facing the industry mean that diversification is key, and we are here to help farmers adapt in the future. ”
