In the past five years, the Russian Federation has significantly increased the volume of external shipments of fishmeal to the foreign market.
In particular, it is known that between 2014 and 2018, domestic suppliers increased the pace of sales from fifty thousand three hundred tons to seventy thousand four hundred tons of fishmeal.
It should be noted that fishmeal is an excellent raw material for agricultural feed, which is made from dried and crushed fish processing waste, as well as from marine mammals, mollusks and crustaceans. Fishmeal is highly regarded for its high content of protein, healthy fats and amino acids, which are extremely beneficial for livestock health.
The fact that sales of fishmeal to the foreign market over the past five years have increased by almost forty percent is extremely pleasing to Russian producers and economic analysts.
Every year, domestic suppliers increase the level of shipments of this product to the foreign trading arena. The level of increase varies from year to year from five to twenty-four and a half percent.
It will not be superfluous to note that last year countries such as South Korea and the People’s Republic of China became the key buyers of fishmeal made by Russian producers.
