The country's berry sector is developing rapidly and farmers are increasingly faced with the problem of acquiring high-quality cardboard packaging.

Ukrainian farmers consider the packaging problem to be very acute. In particular, some enterprises claim that the production of plastic packaging for berries is unprofitable, since the product is seasonal.

Those Ukrainian enterprises that manufacture cardboard packaging often do not comply with the conditions and disrupt delivery times, which during the harvesting period can be critical. The owner of the Ozeryana berry farm complains that there is no business culture and supply schedule.

This is felt well during picking berries, when the presence of containers affects the supply of the product to customers. Trying to purchase cardboard containers for their products, the farmers seem to pass the quest. At the same time, the rotation of one-day companies and their irresponsibility should be taken into account.

The quality of Ukrainian cardboard packaging cannot be called good. Very often, she does not tolerate transportation, and “folds” under the weight of berries, says Yevgeny Harlan, director of the Nikdaria company.

The problem of Ukrainian packaging and packaging will be deeply considered at the 10th international conference “Berries of Ukraine-2019: Freezing and the Fresh Market”, which will be held May 21-22 in Kiev. Farmers and representatives of leading packaging enterprises will talk about ways out of this situation.
