The early cabbage season in Ukraine began a few weeks ago.

Currently, depending on the region, prices for white cabbage for the 2019 harvest. Such high prices have been formed by a sharp increase in the price of old cabbage, which was sold in supermarkets at 30-32 UAH / kg.

The entry into the sale of young cabbage of a foreign producer at a price of 40-50 UAH / kg only provoked a quick access to the local cabbage cultivation market of the current year. The trend towards a further increase in prices for vegetables and last year's crop continues. A mass yield of Ukrainian young cabbage is expected no earlier than in a few months, which will maintain a high profitability.

Earlier it was reported that the main competitors of the Ukrainian product in the country's markets are cabbage from Uzbekistan and Macedonia. Uzbek cabbage turned out to be the most affordable, while small batches of Ukrainian vegetables are sold at the highest price.

The Ukrainian consumer is patriotic and much more willing to buy a local product. The buyer does not have confidence in a foreign product and tries to avoid it whenever possible.
