Based on information shared with the public by Sergey Dankvert, who heads the Rosselkhoznadzor, one of the Latin American countries was seriously interested in buying game and cattle meat from Russia.
The state that intends to establish the supply of wild meat from the Russian Federation is Argentina. The South American side expressed its intentions in the framework of the meeting of the intergovernmental commission, created with the participation of Argentine and Russian experts.
It is noteworthy that Russia intends in the near future to consider the proposal of the Argentines and analyze the potential benefits of the possible supply of wild and farm animals overseas.
According to Dankvert, today some Argentinean customers are requesting large batches of rabbit meat from Russia. Potential buyers are attracted by the high quality and affordable price of this product.
In addition, it is known about a request from Argentina for Russian mutton. The head of the Rosselkhoznadzor added that reindeer meat export, which also attracts Argentines, is not excluded.
It will not be superfluous to note that Russia will most likely start with small deliveries of venison, rabbit meat and mutton to Argentina. However, over time, export volumes will only grow, Sergey Dankvert is convinced.
