The press service of the Rosselkhoztsentr shared unfavorable news: the capsules of such an insidious agricultural pest, like locusts, were found on the territory of fifty-three thousand hectares.

According to experts of the department, today they seek help from the authorities of the regions whose fields are infected with egg caps and representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation.

Today, everything possible needs to be done to stop the spread of locusts in Russian fields and to protect the crop from a deadly invasion.

It is noteworthy that the fight against the pest will be supervised by representatives of a single center, which will collect information on the conduct of events, the analysis of this information and decision-making regarding further actions.

It will not be superfluous to note that in the expanses of Stavropol, Dagestan, as well as in Kalmykia and Crimea, a low percentage of infection with locust pods is noted.

Such data was shared by the farmers from these regions. For example, in the Stavropol Territory, only six hectares are affected by the overwintered locust. But in the Republic of Chechnya, a significant pest invasion is expected this summer.
