In the past days of this week, the representative of the Fruit and Vegetable Association of Ukraine Fyodor Rybalko participated in a large international exhibition GulFood, held in the city. According to him, importers of a number of Asian, African and Middle Eastern countries showed a keen interest in the supply of fresh fruits, vegetables, berries and nuts from Ukraine.

The guests of the exhibition were especially interested in Ukrainian nuts, carrots, potatoes, beets, blueberries, raspberries, cherries and apples. Restrained interest was shown by Arab importers in Ukrainian champignons. Further negotiations on the supply of these products will be held in the framework of the Fruit Trade Ukraine - Middle East trade forum, which will be held in Dubai on March 28 this year. This year Ukraine will be able to supply 200 containers of apples to the UAE, and the volume of exported fruits will grow monthly. Not only the United Arab Emirates, but also Qatar, Kuwait, Egypt and Saudi Arabia are interested in importing apples from Ukraine due to their pleasant price and excellent commodity qualities, Fedor Rybalko reports.
New export prospects are opening up for Ukrainian producers of frozen berries, fruits and vegetables, due to the growth of the HoReCa sector and catering. In the UAE, a smoothie has become very fashionable, which makes frozen food in demand. It is planned that transactions on the supply of Ukrainian products will be concluded at the trading forum on March 28, 2019.
