The agricultural company "Organic-D" from the Vinnitsa region grows organic carrots with a yield of 80-100 tons per hectare.
With the help of modern drip irrigation technologies for the use of organic fertilizers from the business partner Subecon, Vadim Krichkovsky in Sutiski brought his products to a whole new level. So, the largest supermarkets in the city are already hunting for Organic-D vegetables.
“Due to the vagaries of the weather, the sowing was extended for an extra two weeks and ended only in the first half of July. For sowing, we use an Italian-made seeder, which has high requirements for the condition of the soil. Alternating showers and droughts delayed this event. However, we expect 80-100 tons per ha. (before using the irrigation system, it was a question of a crop of 30-40 tons per ha.), ”said Vadim Krichkovsky.
According to him, sowing is only the initial stage on the way to a good harvest. Carrots should be regularly watered and cleaned of weeds, otherwise the last factor can provoke some crop diseases.
“In order to grow large juicy vegetables, special attention should be paid to watering. If the soil is not sufficiently moistened, the root crop begins to release lateral roots and look for water. Such carrots do not look very good and the taste is not good. Excessive moisture, on the contrary, leads to cracking of the fruit, and the vegetative mass grows too quickly, ”said Vadim Krichkovsky.
Now Organic-D sowed 60 hectares. land (carrots and beets) and the whole area on drip irrigation. The bottom line is that water pipes are connected to each bed of future vegetables through which crop irrigation is carried out according to a clear schedule. Organic fertilizers are added to the soil in the same way.
Due to the fact that the company "Organic-D" significantly reduced the use of mineral fertilizers, replacing them with organic, this not only increased the profitability of vegetable products, but also significantly improved its naturalness and taste.
