The Government of the Moscow Region intends to seriously engage in the fight against the well-known pest - the hogweed of Sosnovsky, who every year seizes more and more territories of the region and poses a considerable threat to both agriculture and ordinary citizens of the Moscow Region.
The appeal of the population with a request to destroy the thickets of cow parsnip near their homes and on agricultural land is growing with enviable regularity. In order to provide worthy resistance to the fruitful and resistant weed, specialists from the Moscow Region are developing a large-scale project to combat Sosnovsky’s hogweed.
Funds for the implementation of the program have already been allocated from the regional budget and from the federal fund. The start of the campaign aimed at the destruction of the cow parsnip and the localization of its distribution will begin this year in the near future.Fighters with the perennial pest of land have about half a billion rubles in their assets that will be spent on technical equipment and attracting labor to exterminate the cow parsnip.
According to the information shared by the head of the Moscow administration Andrei Vorobyov with the public, it is planned to annually clean about 18 thousand hectares from the cowhide Sosnovsky.
