A new case of ASF was recorded on May 10, 2019 in the Borodyansky district of the Kiev region.
According to the information of the Main Directorate of the State Food and Beverage Service in the Kiev region, from May 09, 2019, one case of the disease of African swine fever (ASF) was registered, namely: - May 10, 2019.
An outbreak of the disease was detected in the household of a citizen of the village of Novy Korogod, Borodyansky district, Kiev region (report on the results of a study by the State Research Institute for Laboratory Diagnostics and Veterinary Sanitary Examination No. 005712 PM / 19 dated 05/10/2019).
In order to coordinate actions aimed at localizing and eliminating the outbreak of African swine fever, a meeting of the state emergency antiepizootic commission at the Borodyansk district state administration was held.
The Commission decided to approve the plan for the elimination of ASF, as well as to determine the boundaries of the epizootic focus and the protection and surveillance zone. In the outbreak, measures are being taken to localize and prevent the further spread of the pathogen of African swine fever.
It was previously reported that an ASF outbreak was detected near Sumy. The disease was registered on May 7 this year in the personal agriculture of a resident of the village of Verkhnyaya Syrovatka, Sumy District, Sumy Region.
