In the near future in the territory of North Ossetia will be even more gardens for growing hazelnuts. The fact is that the company Eleti Alba, known in the region as a major producer of nuts, intends to increase the territory occupied by the cultivation of hazelnuts by as much as thirty hectares.
It is no secret that today the territories given over to hazelnut plantations occupy 100 hectares in the open spaces of North Ossetia, concentrating near the settlement of Chikola.
It is noteworthy that almost the entire hundred hectares are planted with hazelnuts, created several years ago by Italian breeders.Representatives of Eleti Alba intend to expand the area of hazelnut plantations a few months later, in December this year. At the moment, negotiations are underway with the authorities of the region on the allocation of land from the state fund for the implementation of the project, potentially beneficial for agriculture and the country's economy.
The administration of Eleti Alba does not hide its intentions to grow hazelnuts in the mountainous regions of North Ossetia. It is already known today that with a successful outcome of the negotiations, part of the hazelnut crop from new plantations will be exported to the Uzbek market.
