A huge event recently took place in the expanses of Germany - the culinary specialists of the city of Mengkofen (Bavaria) prepared schnitzel, the sizes of which are today the highest in the world.
It is a delicacy, the area of which exceeds seventy square meters. The corresponding entry now flaunts on the pages of the Guinness Book of Records.
It is noteworthy that earlier the record belonged to Frankfurt chefs, who eight years ago prepared a schnitzel thirty-five square meters in size.
It should be noted that this year's colossal schnitzel consists of four hundred chops provided by local farmers. The initial weight of the meat component of the schnitzel is about one and a half tons.
It is also important to add that the classic recipe for making schnitzel involves breading. As a result, the Mengkofen cooks needed more than four thousand eggs and at least two hundred and fifty kilograms of breadcrumbs to brew a record dish.
Well, in order for the schnitzel to be thoroughly fried, the culinary specialists requested more than fourteen thousand liters of vegetable oil from suppliers. The total weight of the record schnitzel was one thousand two hundred and eight kilograms.
