The Russian agricultural holding Eco-Culture plans to double the area of greenhouses located in the Izobilnensky district of the Stavropol Territory until 2022, the holding’s president Alexander Rudakov said in a statement.
The first phase of greenhouses in the village of Solnechnodolsk was put into operation in 2017, the second in early September 2019 tons of tomatoes per year.
“We are starting the construction of a similar greenhouse complex, the area of which will be 60 hectares. We plan to launch it in 2020–2021, so the total area of the complex will reach 120 hectares, and by 2022 production will double, ”said Alexander Rudakov.
Eco-Culture Agroholding owns greenhouses in the Stavropol, Lipetsk and Leningrad regions, as well as its own packaging company, a wholesale and trading company, and distribution centers.
For information, as the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia reported, in 2018 in the Stavropol Territory a carrot crop was obtained, amounting to 16.9 thousand tons.
The average crop yield is more than 260 kg / ha. 73% of the harvested root crops were grown by agricultural enterprises, and 27% - by farms.
