So favorable areas for growing grapes have been discovered in the UK that English farmers are ready in the near future to seriously compete with the wineries of the legendary Champagne and Bordeaux.
About 35 thousand hectares of land on which grapes were not previously grown were discovered by climate experts in the territories of the counties of Kent, East of England and Sussex. According to experts, this land seems to be specially created for fertile and hardy vine bushes. Those farmers who have already managed to plant small vineyards on these lands noted the high quality and rich taste of young wine.

A researcher at the Environmental School at East English University, Stephen Daling, noted that 2018 has become a key year for young English vineyards. This summer, sunny and at the same time humid weather allowed the earth to demonstrate its ultimate capabilities, as a result of which grapes luxurious in terms of winemaking were born.
“Now we are determining the best places for planting grape seedlings, we are studying the resistance of local fields to frequent weather changes,” says Doling. “And if our research is not in vain, in the coming years we will be able to prove to the world that fine wines can be made not only in the French provinces!”
