Over the past day alone, 7 cases of fires were recorded in the ecosystems of the region, the press service of the regional state emergency service department shares information.
The total area occupied by fire is 2.4 ha. All detected fires were stopped by specialists of the fire rescue units. The problem of burning dead wood becomes urgent with the warming and the beginning of spring field work. With the mass exit of citizens into nature, it becomes even more acute.
The total number of fires in the ecosystems of the Kherson region since the beginning of 2019 is 142 cases on an area of 65.5 hectares. They inflicted irreparable damage on nature. Previously, it was reported that for arson deadwood administrative liability is provided - a fine of several hundred hryvnias.
In Vinnitsa, mobile brigades have been fighting with dry grass and leaf arsonists since March 18 this year. They track the cases of dead wood arson, go to the scene of the incident and impose a fine of 340 to 1700 UAH on guilty citizens. Ecologists urge to refrain from burning plant waste, offering to cut grass or compost it in time.
