In Ukraine, there is an increase in diesel prices caused by the suspension of its supplies from Belarus and the uncertainty with supplies from Russia. The Cabinet of Ministers of the Russian Federation has signed a decree according to which oil and oil products can be imported into Ukraine only with special permits from June 1, 2019, the All-Ukrainian Agrarian Council (EAC) reports.
It is reported that recently, wholesale fuel prices in Ukraine have increased by 10%. Depending on the region, they grew by 1.5-2 UAH. When conducting a sowing campaign, when farmers require a large amount of fuel, its rise in price hi to the additional costs and increase the cost of the final product.
Rumors are circulating in the ranks of farmers about cutting fuel supplies from Belarus and Russia. Although some of them managed to stock up on diesel fuel, the rest are forced to purchase it at updated prices. The increase in growing costs up to + 500-600 UAH / ha is predicted by the director of Forward AK LLC Anton Parkhomenko from Sumy region.
In addition to increasing the price of diesel fuel, there are difficulties in delivering it to farmers in eastern Ukraine. According to Andrei Perebeynos, director of the FC Vremya from the Luhansk region, the region has a whole problem with the transportation of fuel due to roads that are practically absent. So far, there is no certainty among farmers about what the price of diesel fuel will be and what it should prepare itself for in the future.
